brief analysis of similar products

This is a similar product to our opening scene mainly because it creates a lot of tension. This is a trailer therefore it gives a overview. The glimpses we see of the potential villain are very short and concise which leaves lots of mystery I will try to use this in my opening scene to not give too much away so there is a element of surprise.

Scream: The opening five minutes of this movie was very simple, just a conversation between two people how ever it is very effective and works very well. The background music adds to the suspense and the hidden identity also adds to the mystery. I will use this simplicity of this opening scene in my movie because this shows me that basic and straight forward scenes can be very effective.

Silence of the lambs is also a similar product to our film because it also involves aspects of horror and has a iconic villain Hannibal Lector. The iconic villain makes the film memorable and makes it stand out from other films in the same genre. I will try to implement this in my film by trying to make my villain unique and different from the other villains in other films in the same genre.

7 minutes is a similar product to our film and is a thriller crime movie where a group of friends rob a bank and they have to do the task in under 7 minutes. The robbers have very distinctive masks and looks just like the criminal in our movie will have one of the robbers in 7 minutes had a hockey mask on which means the look is memorable and that is exactly what we have tried to do with our costumes in our film.

The purge is a similar product to our movie because it is also a thriller and uses suspense and emotive techniques to create a tense mood throughout the movie which keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. One of the many recurring things I have noticed in the purge and the other thriller movies I have looked at is the costumes are very specific such as a mask or a tattoo this makes the villain stand out and gives the villain a identity apart from just being a villain there's a back story which we will try implement into our own movie.
